The discovery that the sexual transmission can be virtually stopped when the infected person is treated with ARVs this year was heralded as the ‘Breakthrough of the Year’ by Science magazine. The team of researchers who completed the study was lead by University of North Carolina’s Dr. Myron Cohen. In the above video, Dr. Cohen shares how he and his team set about testing the idea.
